The newly redesigned Ross Video Carbonite Ultra (RSV-CUF-124) 24-input production switcher builds upon the success of the world’s best-selling mid-sized switcher to deliver a format independent system that is compact and affordable without compromising performance. The new Ultra features up to four, 16 window multi-viewers for a total of up to 64 sources – doubling that of it’s predecessor in the original Carbonite series. Each MultiViewer has user-selectable layouts with the individual choice of border tally and UMD label display for each source. Intended as a fully software defined platform, the Ultra streamlines production workflows by handling mixed video formats with frame sync for every input and easy color correction so that you can match your format and send it where it needs to go. 4 fully-independent Key + Fill media stores provide 8GB cache for incorporating stills, logos, bugs, and animated graphics in any common file format with audio, including standalone WAV files for audio effects or music beds. Carbonite Ultra makes you productive immediately with a range of control choices for operators of any caliber, from the super-ergonomic, efficient TouchDrive range of panels to the fully-integrated, novice-friendly software DashBoard control ecosystem. Carbonite Ultra’s 1RU chassis can be configured with up to 3 full MEs (via software licenses) & 4 built-in floating MiniMEs, equivalent to a 7ME switcher with 20 key channels. Any ME or MiniME in the system can access the 4 UltraChrome chroma keyers and 8 floating DVEs at any time. Every part of this software-defined live production engine is backed by dedicated hardware, so that you can engage all the resources you need for a stunning production and remain cutting-edge for years to come.
