The professional ENG line-up has been especially developed to meet the increasing production of HD cost-effective digital cameras. Fujinon has introduced the XA16x8A lens to meet the widening demand for lenses in the product category for professional HD ENG 2/3” cameras. The XA16x8A is distinguished by the high HD optical performance as well as transportability and operability, all combined in a smaller package for a good price/performance ratio. Through the use of state-of-the-art glass elements and design and Fujinon’s exclusive GO-Technology, longitudinal chromatic aberration has been minimized in the Professional HD line-up while maintaining high MTF values. The XA16x8A includes the QuickZoom function also used in the high-end HD broadcast lenses with a zoom speed of only one second.

The XA16x8A lens achieves a new milestone in the development of cost-effective lenses with a new innovative optical design concept utilising a unique Rear Focus drive system. The XA16x8A lens is a state-of-the-art lens that demonstrates uniform optical performance overall, from wide to tele end at a high quality level. Through the new Rear Focus system the lens also shows no visible pumping when focusing. It is a brand-new developed lens using new technologies, resulting in a lens with a high optical performance at a cost-effective level. That is astonishing for a lens in this market category.

Digital Quick Zoom

Quick Zoom speed is improved to 0.7 seconds end to end. Quick Zoom provides for a rapid zoom movement to the telephoto position to check focus with the simple push of a button. Releasing the button returns the lens to the previously selected zoom position.  No other lenses come close in performance or features.
