Sony MVS-7000X, 4 M/E Switcher

The MVS 7000X is available for SD, HD or 1080/50P (3G) production and a simple software upgrade will allow the user to switch between these modes. Powerful features include up to 6 ME operation with up to eight high-performance keyers per full ME bus (only four in 6ME mode), 8 channels of format conversion, with frame synchronisation support and two channels of multi-viewer output. An internal two or four channel DME processor can also be installed offering visual effects of superb quality, equivalent to those of the external MVE-9000 processor.

Multi-Format Production Switcher Processor Chassis. The MVS7000X is the latest addition to its MVS Series of production switchers. The new MVS7000X is designed for a wide range of applications while delivering similar high-end performance as the top of the line MVS8000X model, at a more cost effective price. The MVS7000X is a native 3G switcher and inherits many of the powerful features from the MVS8000X. It can be easily configured from 1 to 6 MEs, with Multi-Program II (Split ME) capability, and, depending on the configuration, can scale up to 8-keyers per ME with a 2.5D re-sizer for each keyer. As a result, users can start with small compact frame, and expand as their requirements change, giving them the flexibility they need. Through the use of a powerful mix/effect mode selection feature, the MVS7000X can be configured to meet user requirements with the minimal purchase of mix/effects hardware. Users can add up to four channels of internal MVE9000 level effects and the switcher can be configured with up to 80-inputs and 48-outputs in a compact 8-rack unit frame. It supports high-quality stereoscopic 3D production and, for the highest picture quality, it also supports 1080p/59.94/50 production, enabling users to take full advantage of HD production with features such as transition and keyer.
